Care of your children's teeth
Begin daily brushing as soon as the first tooth erupts. A small pea sized amount of toothpaste. If your child swallows the toothpaste use non-fluoridated toothpaste. If they can spit, the toothpaste may contain toothpaste. The child may not have the manual dexterity to brush properly until they can use a knife and fork successfully. When very young you should brush for your child. When they get older they may brush first and you can go over the teeth to ensure a good job is done of cleaning the teeth and gums.
Floss removes food and plaque from between the teeth. This should be used once the teeth touch. Teeth should be brushed at least twice a day, especially at bedtime.
